Hi, my name is Bria Skye. I'm an artist from the maritimes who's moved to Alberta. I'm an '01 baby and an aries. I like painting, drawing, and doing digital art. Outside of art I spend my time reading, playing video games, or watching tv.

About my art
I often find inspiration in things that I find nostalgic. I also find inspiration in my cat, Doom. Growing up in Nova Scotia I've always found beauty in nature; the feilds, the hills, the forests, the oceans, it all feels so magical or me. I really like to replicate that magic in my paintings with bright colours.
I've always dreamed of being and artist, from a young age I knew I wanted to do something artistic as a career. In 2022 I decided to enroll in online college to study graphic design. I learned the basic there, but it wasn't until after I graduated that I really began my journey.
Why the name 'myteaisgettingcold'?
It's because whenever I paint I forget that I've made tea for myself. My tea just sits there for hours getting cold.... actually, now that I'm writing this, I'm realizing I have tea thats getting cold!
I went through a few different names before I came up with myteaisgettingcold. First I went by DigiSkye, focusing soley on graphic design, that was until my adobe subscription from college ran out. Afterwards I went by Skyes Gallery. I never liked this one, but it was all I could think of at the time. One day while I was painting, forgetting that I made tea, I was thinking of a username. Thats when I remembered my tea was getting cold. I thought it'd be a very fitting and distinct name. That's how we got to where we are today at MyTeaIsGettingCold
